We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Service Truck Operator / Mobile Mechanic with strong heavy equipment mechanical expertise to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and repairing our fleet of dump trucks, pavers, sealcoat equipment, and related machinery. You will operate a fully equipped service truck with onboard welder and air compressor to tackle repairs in the shop and in the field.Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on dump trucks, pavers, sealcoat machines, and other heavy equipment aka dump trucks .
- Diagnose and repair electrical/electronic issues.
- Conduct welding and fabrication as needed.
- Operate a service truck with onboard welder and air compressor to provide mobile repairs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the team.
- Work independently in the field or in the shop.
Requirements
- 14+ years of proven mechanical experience working in shops and for companies on heavy equipment and trucks.
- Strong “tough” mechanical skills with the ability to tackle any mechanical or electronic issue on dump trucks, pavers, sealcoat equipment, and similar machinery.
- Must have your own tools.
- Experience with welding required.
- Clean and steady work history/resume.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL a plus).
- Ability to work independently and handle physically demanding tasks.
