Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain access control systems, including card readers, biometric devices, and remote access software.
- Set up and service CCTV surveillance systems, including cameras, monitors, and recording equipment.
- Conduct system diagnostics and troubleshoot issues related to security systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and low voltage wiring.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system installation and repairs.
- Perform cabling tasks using power tools and hand tools to establish reliable electrical connections for security hardware.
- Collaborate with construction teams during site build-outs to integrate security systems seamlessly into new or existing structures.
- Provide field service support by diagnosing hardware failures, replacing components, and optimizing system performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, system configurations, and service reports for compliance and future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in security or telecommunication systems with a focus on access control and CCTV.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to security systems and remote access software.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience to handle cabling, power tools, schematics, and low voltage wiring.
- Hands-on experience installing security cameras and access control
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues efficiently in the field.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
