Position Details 

Reports to: Account Manager / Account Director 

Position type: Full-time 

Work location: Remote; Atlanta-based candidates preferred 

Schedule: Standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend support for client  events, media visits, or deadlines 

Travel: Occasional travel required 

Position Overview 

This position is fully remote. While Atlanta-based candidates are preferred, we also  welcome candidates from other locations.  

PINEAPPLE is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Account Coordinator  to support day-to-day public relations and account activities across multiple travel and tourism  clients. 

This is an entry-level role with growth potential for someone looking to build a career in public  relations and account management. The ideal candidate understands media relations, thrives in  a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple moving pieces. 

This role is equal parts public relations support and project coordination support, helping ensure  accounts run smoothly while supporting media relations, client communications and reporting. 

Key Responsibilities 

Support account teams to ensure work stays organized, on track, and aligned with priorities, timelines and deliverables. 

Public Relations & Media Relations Support 

  • Write first drafts of press releases, pitch materials, blogs and social content.
  • Conduct media research and build targeted media lists; familiarity with Muck Rack a plus. 
  • Assist with media pitching and independently pitch media opportunities to build media  relationships. 
  • Assist with day-to-day account activities and client requests. 
  • Participate in client calls and internal team meetings and prepare detailed and timely  post-call recaps, including action items, timelines and next steps.  
  • Support media, influencer and content creator logistics, including scheduling, itineraries  and coordination. 
  • Research and monitor industry trends, seasonal opportunities and timely story angles  relevant to client work. 
  • Assist with event coordination, activations and special projects as needed.
  • Work with the team to ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Track media coverage, placements, and campaign results. 
  • Prepare client reports and coverage recaps.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism,  Hospitality/Tourism or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships encouraged and valued)
  • Travel and tourism, hospitality, agency or media relations experience preferred but not  required 
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines 

Technical Skills 

Experience with or willingness to learn: 

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) 
  • Media databases such as Muck Rack and Cision (preferred, not required) o Google Workspace 
  • Canva 
  • AI tools and emerging technology to improve efficiency and productivity

Work Environment & Perks 

  • Remote position; Atlanta-based candidates preferred but not required • Occasional travel for client visits, media tours, team meetings, conferences and special  events may be required
