Adult/Youth Programming Specialist Jobs in Post Falls at Community Library Network
Youth Programming Specialist Position open. This position will divide duties and time between the Harrison and Pinehurst branches; 20 hours per week Adult Programming Specialist at Pinehurst, and 20 hours per week Adult and Youth Programming Specialist at Harrison. This position will receive PERSI retirement benefits, health and dental insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave benefits. Works hours are primarily Tuesday – Saturday.
The Adult/Youth Programming Specialist position will work independently and collaboratively to plan and deliver activities and programming for adults, children, teens, and families under the direction of the Adult Programming Manager and Youth Programming Manager. The position will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs for all ages in support of library goals and community needs. Responsibilities include encouraging reading, literacy, and use of library facilities and materials. This position requires understanding of adult, children, and teen literature and reading interests.
The successful applicant has:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Two years’ work experience in a customer service setting
- Two years’ work experience in a public library setting
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
- Enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and lead
