Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring apartment units and common areas are safe, clean, and fully functional by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive work. Responds to resident maintenance requests promptly and maintains compliance with safety and building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, appliances, doors, windows, and other apartment fixtures.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
Respond quickly to emergency maintenance requests and provide temporary or permanent solutions.
Maintain common areas, outdoor spaces, and building equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Document all maintenance work, track work orders, and manage inventory of tools and supplies.
Follow all safety regulations, building codes, and OSHA guidelines in maintenance activities.
Assist in unit turnovers, including painting, minor carpentry, and appliance installation.
Communicate effectively with residents, management, and contractors regarding repairs and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related trade.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair various appliances and equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
