Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-Ray Technician /Medical Assistant to join our Orthopaedic healthcare team. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, with experience in various imaging modalities including X-ray and fluoroscopy. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and patient care are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays) safely and accurately.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper operation and cleanliness.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to obtain accurate imaging results.
- Document procedures and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform Patient Intake.
- Medical Assistant Duties.
Qualifications
- AART-certified
- Current state licensure as required
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures, radiation safety, and medical imaging equipment
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience
- Proven experience as an X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist with proficiency in diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Experience working in Orthopedics is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Prior experience with medical imaging equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Pay: $29.00 – $33.00 per hour
