Architectural Metals (Metals) is a segment within Apogee that is a provider of aluminum windows, curtainwall (soon to be retired), storefront and entrance systems. We offer an integrated set of capabilities including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and assembly.

Job Overview

Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.


Key Responsibilities

Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors. Ability to interpret more complex work instructions, diagrams, and schematics. Basic quality control skills, including inspecting work for defects. Must be cross-trained and able to support all Assembly I & II roles.


Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in assembly or related roles.
  • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
  • Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
  • Ability to follow blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry)
