Job Summary
Groundskeeper Assistant
We are looking for a full time- reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper Assistant to help maintain and care for a private property in the greater Clarks Summit/Abington area. This role involves landscaping, lawn care, equipment operation, seasonal maintenance, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate is able to work with a team, be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating landscaping equipment and working outdoors in all seasons. Available to start immediately.
Responsibilities
- Mulch and weed landscape beds
- Mow, edge, and maintain turf areas
- Operate landscaping equipment including zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, and backpack blowers
- Maintain weed control in hardscape areas, rock outcroppings, and invasive plant areas
- Maintain athletic and recreational areas including tennis, croquet, and pétanque courts
- Apply fertilizer and maintain healthy turfgrass areas
- Perform seasonal cleanup including leaf removal and snow removal
- Troubleshoot and maintain irrigation systems
- Clean and maintain water features and outdoor furniture
- Split and cut firewood for outdoor fireplaces and oven
- Service and maintain small equipment, carts, and mowers
- Keep maintenance shop clean and organized
- Assist with general building and pool maintenance
- Maintain service records for equipment and property maintenance
- Be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and special events as needed
Qualifications
- Experience with landscaping, groundskeeping, or property maintenance preferred
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and small machinery
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor throughout the day
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills are a plus
Pay
- $20 per hour
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
