Responsibilities

  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, providing training on food safety, food handling, and proper use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to ensure cost-effective food management.
  • Support shift management duties by coordinating staff schedules, overseeing food production timelines, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods.
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards to maintain compliance with health regulations.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and oversee cash handling procedures during shifts.
  • Collaborate with the management team on budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and menu adjustments to optimize restaurant performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or assistant management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and food industry regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Experience in managing hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high-quality food production.

Pay: $61,194.95 – $64,024.65 per year
