Position Overview
Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of The Metro Conference invites applications for an Associate Director of Athletics for Business Operations who will be responsible for all aspects of business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget planning, implementation and monitoring.
- Maintain and enforce business operations portion of the Department of Athletics Policy and Procedures Manual in coordination with University fiscal policies.
- Arrange all bus, van and air travel for 19 teams and administrative staff.
- Oversee the online ticketing system and manage credit card deposits.
- Act as sport administrator for swimming and diving and golf. Attend all home swim meets and conference championships. Primary liaison between the coaches and team members and the athletic administration when it comes to student-athlete and parental issues.
- Administer and oversee Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and Alston payments for men’s and women’s basketball student-athletes, ensuring timely processing, accurate financial documentation, and compliance with University policies, NCAA regulations, conference requirements, and applicable state and federal laws.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with budgets.
- Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a college athletic environment and a general knowledge of and willingness to comply with NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree
