Position Summary
Sailer’s Food Market and Meat Processing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bacon Production Associate to join our processing team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality bacon products through proper curing, smoking, handling, and labeling processes. The ideal candidate follows instructions closely, maintains food safety standards, and works efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Hang pork bellies on racks for curing and smoking, ensuring proper spacing and handling techniques
- Apply curing mixtures accurately and consistently according to established recipes and procedures
- Operate and monitor smokehouse equipment, including setting temperatures, timing cycles, and ensuring product quality
- Run and maintain processing machinery safely and efficiently
- Follow detailed production instructions and standard operating procedures without deviation
- Properly label finished products, ensuring accuracy in weight, date, and product information
- Inspect products throughout the process to ensure quality and consistency standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools in compliance with food safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Pay: $16.50 – $25.00 per hour
