Bartender

Are you ready to join a great team? The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel is seeking an energetic, professional, and guest-focused Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will create exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and delivering outstanding hospitality consistent with Renaissance and Marriott brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.

Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to hotel guests and restaurant patrons.

Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, wines, beers, spirits, and specialty cocktails.

Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with all local and state regulations.

Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate sales records.

Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.

Assist with inventory control, restocking, and ordering supplies as needed.

Collaborate with restaurant and hotel team members to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and Marriott brand standards.

Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed

Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions

Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or upscale hospitality environment preferred.

Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, wine, and liquor service.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certifications, or ability to obtain them as required by law.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
