Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen staff.
- Provide exceptional guest service by engaging with patrons, answering questions about menu items, and upselling specials to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning bar areas, and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Manage cash handling duties accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software.
- Assist with food preparation or plating as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Foster guest relations through attentive service, ensuring all visitors feel valued and comfortable from arrival to departure.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant environments, or hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bartender is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables and orders efficiently during busy shifts.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude and guest-focused approach.
- Experience working in fine dining establishments or nightclubs is advantageous; a background in culinary arts or kitchen experience can be beneficial.
