General Responsibilities:
The Lori Knapp Choice Claims Specialist performs a wide range of duties requiring independent judgement in the preparation and process of fiscal activities and other transactions for ensuring compliance with federal, state, waiver and funding agency guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively and professionally communicate with all internal and external customers
- Provide excellent customer service through quick follow-up and resolution to concerns and questions
- Adhere to established Lori Knapp Choice/ASD Policies, procedures, and expectations
- Keep and update claims submitted to Managed Care Organizations and CLTS programs
- Compute claims and charges from payroll softwareSubmit claims and admin charges to Managed Care Organizations and CLTS Programs on the appropriate schedule
- Code Explanation of Benefit from Managed Care Organizations and CLTS Programs
- Investigate unpaid claims and submit corrected claims as applicable
- Carry out financial transactions needed to complete claims processes
- Familiarity with the Fiscal Agent program processes and procedures
- Other duties as needed to maintain a high quality program
Who You Are:
- Documented formal education or experience related to accounting and financial management
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertinent to essential job functions
- Excellent communication skills via telephone, email, and in-person.General math, clerical, data entry, and customer service
- Strong data entry and process skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; self-driven, motivated and results oriented
- Computer skills using Microsoft Windows, Word, and Exce
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality regarding all aspects of the position and its responsibilities
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Client-first mentality with the ability to interact with internal and external clients at all levels
