Starting Rate: $50/hour
Position Overview:
This staff member would be responsible for attending at least 20 annual review IEP meetings as well as any potential reevaluation meetings. As part of their role, they would help ensure compliance with EL requirements, such as inclusion and interpretation of ACCESS scores, inclusion of appropriate IEP goals, planning for or refusal of EL services, and ensuring that appropriate cultural and linguistic accommodations are noted.
Qualifications:
- Valid PEL and bilingual or EL endorsement.
- Knowledge of EL services and special education requirements.
- Experience Interpreting ACCESS scores and supporting bilingual students with IEPs.
General Responsibilities:
- Support EL compliance within IEP documentation.

Provide IEP team and family support related to interpretation of ACCESS scores including description of language abilities and needs. considerations for EL
service provision. - Act as a liaison between families and staff, ensuring effective communication and cultural understanding.
- Advocate for students’ needs within educational teams, ensuring appropriate accommodations are included in the IEP document to support language needs.
- Collaborate with families to strengthen engagement and provide resources in the students’ native languages.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful school environment that values linguistic and cultural diversity.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
- Strong understanding of EL services, levels of support, and special education processes.
- Knowledge of the interplay between EL services and special education services.
- Ability to interpret ACCESS scores and other assessments.
- Effective collaborator and communicator with diverse teams and families.
- Ability to move between campuses.
Position Expectations:
- Attendance at least 20 IEP meetings throughout the school year (40 to 60 minutes per meeting).
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to teachers and support staff.
- Track compliance with EL and IEP requirements and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
