We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee and boba tea. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional beverages, providing excellent service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Your role will involve using a POS system (Clover) to manage transactions efficiently while maintaining food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate POS system (Clover) for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including drink preparation stations, and back kitchen areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper drink preparation procedures.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while maximizing sales opportunities.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with Clover POS system is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and drink preparation techniques.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and retail math calculations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
