Platte County is seeking to hire a building Inspector. The primary duty of the inspector is to complete onsite building code inspections on all new construction pursuant to the codes adopted by Platte County. Secondary tasks include issuing building permits, plan review, flood development permits, data entry, and assisting the public on building code related issues. Candidates will need to either be a Certified Building Inspector or have the ability to get certified within 1 year of hire. Training and fees associated with getting certified will be provided.
Experience with building inspection or construction related field preferred. Job requires working in and around construction sites in all types of weather. Candidates must have, and maintain, a valid drivers license. Open until filled.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,000.00 – $56,000.00 per year
