Position: CARDIAC CATH LAB REGISTERED NURSE (RN) Full Time
Responsibilities
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse opportunity is full time, 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule.
Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Provides direct patient care to adult patient populations. Addresses psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the procedural/interventional environment. Communicates effectively with the physician and team members about patient condition. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Assists in obtaining supplies and ensures all appropriate needs of the cardiovascular lab team are met. Monitors, positions, and assists patient during procedure and administers moderate sedation under the guidance of the Physician.
Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Cath Lab Radiology Technologist
Responsible for performing cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures. Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures on order of a licensed practitioner. Provides optimal patient care applying departmental standards and protocols. Exercises professional judgment in performance of cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures. Provides appropriate patient care for recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Job Duties /Responsibilities
- Responsible for admitting, recovering and discharging patients from the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other health team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes post-procedure assessments.
- Approaches patient in a kind, gentle manner. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Nevada.
- Current POC license within 90 days.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Minimum of one year experience in critical care.
