Qualifications /
Job Requirements
- Active Ohio Physician Assistant (PA) license required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant; prior cardiology experience preferred
- Ability to work independently in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills working with cardiologists and APPs
- Availability for a minimum of 5 consecutive days; preference for longer continuous assignments
- Willingness to complete a Microsoft Teams interview with the APP Manager prior to placement
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide general cardiology care in an outpatient clinic setting, managing routine and follow-up visits
- Evaluate and manage patients independently and escalate to supervising physicians as needed
- Perform inpatient cardiology consults when scheduled (no clinic responsibilities on consult days)
- Coordinate patient care with interventional cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records in the EHR
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- Experience with cardiology diagnostics and workflows (ECG/EKG interpretation, stress testing, basic cardiac imaging)
- Prior experience in outpatient cardiology clinics and inpatient consult services
- Comfortable using common EHR systems and telehealth platforms
