US Foods, one of America’s leading food service distributors, is seeking a safety-focused CDL Local Driver to join our Transportation & Logistics team in {JOB-CITY}, {JOB-STATE}. As a key frontline representative of US Foods, you will safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local routes to deliver food and beverage products to a variety of restaurants and food service operators. You will load, transport, and unload products using lift gates and hand or electric pallet jacks, ensuring accurate, damage-free deliveries that support our customers’ daily operations.
Working closely with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers, you will follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations, maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and promptly report any mechanical or delivery issues. You will build strong relationships with customers through professional, courteous service, resolving delivery concerns on-site when possible and escalating issues when needed to help them succeed.
In this role, you will work a full-time schedule with early morning start times, local routes that allow you to be home daily, and occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday shifts as business requires. You will thrive in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment that includes frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of product, navigating tight delivery locations, and working in varying weather conditions.
