About Vipo:
Vipo US is a fast-growing company manufacturing rubber and ceramics products. We are seeking a careful chemical lab technician to assist in production as well as experiments as directed by supervisor. The candidate will also be responsible for daily maintenance of lab including cleaning and safety.
Lab Tech will
Be a detail oriented, team player with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills to perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to aid in quantification and qualification of both ceramic and rubber products using both routine and specific techniques as assigned by supervisor. This includes:
- Maintain organized records of work including experiments and results.
- Performs basic computations, and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines.
- Installs, operates, maintains and repairs laboratory test equipment, apparatus, systems and supplies.
Work both independently and as part of a team, including taking initiative to complete tasks.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive work environment.
Be able to multi-task and balance productivity while maintaining safety & accuracy with changing priorities.
Expected tasks include
- Lab technique and safety
- Weighing
- Measuring
- Mixing
- pH reading and adjusting
- Pycnometer
- Microscopy
- Tensile/compression testing
- Ability to design and set up non-standard tests
Qualifications
Associate degree in science is preferred but will consider high school diploma or equivalent as well as vocational training or past experience.
