Role Description The Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) is a full-time, remote executive role responsible for leading the organization’s overall technology vision and strategy. This position oversees enterprise-wide IT operations, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives in a regulated financial services environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing IT teams, prioritizing technology initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing infrastructure and applications to support investment banking activities. The CITO will develop and implement cybersecurity frameworks, drive digital transformation projects, and establish governance standards for data, systems, and technology risk. The role collaborates closely with senior leadership to evaluate emerging technologies, support strategic decisions, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Information Technology with expertise in enterprise systems, infrastructure, and application environments.
- Proven IT Management experience, including leadership of cross-functional teams, budgeting, and vendor and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated Cybersecurity proficiency, including risk assessment, security architecture, incident response, and regulatory compliance in financial services.
- Ability to define and execute IT Strategy that supports business goals, digital transformation, and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Hands-on experience with IT Operations, including service delivery, performance monitoring, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Advanced understanding of financial services or investment banking technology environments and related regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or MS in IT/IS) or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL) are beneficial.
