Compensation: $170,000–$210,000 base, 15–20% bonus and meaningful equity
A well-funded, seed-stage AI company is hiring a senior operator to work directly with its CEO.
You will own high-priority work across company strategy, business operations, partnerships, go-to-market and finance. This is a hands-on execution role with the potential to develop into a GM, functional leadership or COO position.
We want to hear from you if you have one of these backgrounds:
– Two to four years in management consulting, followed by at least two years in an operating role at a high-growth technology company or startup; or
– Five or more years in startup strategy, Business Operations, general management, product operations or a founding-team role.
You must also have:
– Personally owned ambiguous projects from definition through execution.
– Delivered clear, measurable commercial or operational results.
– Strong analytical and structured problem-solving ability.
– Experience working with limited resources and minimal direction.
– The ability to work full-time from the San Mateo office.
What you’ll do
– Lead strategic and operational initiatives from start to finish.
– Run commercial pilots, partnerships and go-to-market projects.
– Establish priorities, KPIs and company operating rhythms.
– Build analysis and financial models for major decisions.
– Prepare board materials and support company strategy.
This is **not** an executive assistant, project coordination or purely advisory position. It will not suit candidates whose experience is limited to consulting recommendations, administrative support or process management without direct ownership of outcomes.
Insurance experience, an MBA and previous Chief of Staff experience are not required.
