The Clinical Project Manager role provides expert clinical project management support for high profile projects aimed at the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based clinical best practices. The Clinical Project Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive outcome research protocols to ensure productivity and comparative effectiveness. This role collaborates with representatives of participating community programs and will monitor contracted research providers.
Your Role in Action:
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of output and outcomes in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct data collection reviews for completeness and timeliness.
- Support meetings of the inter-agency outcome management group.
- Assist in development of a request for proposals for outcome evaluation.
- Assist in evaluation of RFP responses.
- Serve as project liaison to the Institutional Review Board
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Provide project management coaching and mentorship and/or technical support to trainees/interns engaged in informatics.
- Manage the overall delivery of assigned projects from initiation through completion-Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports.
- Manage resources, schedules, financial and adheres to project management internal control guidelines throughout the project life cycle.
- Assists in dissemination of results including PowerPoint presentations and manuscripts.
- Supports project meetings and provides on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and works creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
- Provide analytical guidance and report status on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across executive leadership and local project leadership.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical, business, and technology units to assess and convey cross-functional impact of clinical changes to Epic EHR.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Perform various activities to support quality improvement and implementation science research efforts, including (but not limited to), creation of research study project plans, facilitation of team meetings, data collection strategies, preparation of presentation materials, field interviews, writing, and editing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What qualifications will you need:
Education:
- Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent.
- Preferred: Advanced degree in fields such as business administration, information technology, healthcare.
- Clinical background such as nursing, pharmacy, and clinical operational preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years working in health or research project management is required, preferably in behavioral health systems.
- Formal study and demonstrated experience in research design, outcome analysis and data visualization.
- Prior experience leading teams in a matrixed environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge providing performance/process analysis and improvement in a health care setting, preferably behavioral health and IDD service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and complete projects at complex organizations, and specific skill in quality improvement and clinical transformation.
- Ability to use standard project management tools, electronic spreadsheets, word processing, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of and experience with project/program management, business practices-budgets/reports related to diverse funding sources (i.e., state funds, grant funds, etc.).
- Ability to arrive at accurate conclusions and solutions by visualizing new potentials, and by identifying, defining, and analyzing problems and situations using rational and intuitive processes.
- Ability to lead and collaborate in a team-oriented and goal-focused environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate across different departments and teams.
- Ability to attract and mobilize energies and talents; to work towards a shared purpose in the best interests of the organization, the people comprising it, and the people it serves.
- Ability to coordinate the diverse components of the project by quality project planning, execution, and change control to achieve the required balance of time, cost, and quality.
