We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site operations for retail, tenant improvement (TI), and ground-up projects. This role focuses on project execution, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control across multiple job sites.
Main Description
Sunny Unite is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team and lead construction projects both locally and nationwide.
We are looking for a results-driven professional who can manage project schedules, ensure high-quality delivery, and build strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and coordination skills, working closely with subcontractors, owner representatives, city officials, and design/engineering teams in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Execution
- Oversee all daily on-site construction activities from project initiation through completion
- Develop, update, and manage project schedules to ensure timely execution of all phases
- Enforce company safety and quality standards, aiming for zero incidents and clean project closeout
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure compliance and maintain current sets on-site
- Coordinate construction schedules and subcontractor/vendor mobilization
- Track delivery of owner-furnished materials and coordinate with subcontractors
- Conduct regular site walks to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient job site
Communication & Coordination
- Maintain proactive communication with subcontractors, city officials, owners, and design teams
- Coordinate across construction phases to resolve site issues and avoid delays
- Manage RFIs to clarify design conflicts and missing information
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit daily logs, manpower reports, and project progress updates
- Assist in maintaining and updating construction schedules
- Ensure proper document control with accurate and complete records
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
- Proven ability to manage and deliver projects on time and with high quality
- Experience with:
- Tenant Improvement (TI) projects
- Ground-up construction
- Retail construction experience is strongly preferred
Skills & Requirements
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and manage field operations
- High attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
- Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent document control and organizational abilities
- Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and drug screening
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel nationwide for project assignments as needed

Pay: $75,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
