Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming freshly poured concrete into smooth, durable surfaces that meet project specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of construction and renovation projects, utilizing your skills in concrete finishing and related trades.
Duties
- Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers to achieve smooth, level finishes.
- Operate power tools and equipment including Lazer Screeds, Riding Power trowels. and Soft Cut Saws, to facilitate efficient pouring and finishing processes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to ensure structural integrity before pouring concrete.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute project specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete finishing within commercial or residential construction environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete mixers.
- Skilled in rebar installation, form setting, and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read technical drawings accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent teamwork skills; safety consciousness is essential for success in this role.
