Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to concrete work, including mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete for various projects. The Concrete Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our construction operations.
Duties:
- Mix and pour concrete according to specifications
- Assist in the installation of rebar and concrete forms
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools
- Operate concrete mixers and other heavy equipment as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor on construction sites
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols
- Assist in renovation, restoration, and hardscape projects as required
Experience:
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete work
- Familiarity with construction estimating techniques
- Experience with concrete finishing, plastering, carpentry, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety regulations on construction sites
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to concrete work
