Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer / Carpenter Helper to assist with pole barn and post-frame construction projects in the Monticello area. This position supports lead carpenters and crew members by performing hands-on construction tasks. Ideal candidates are motivated, physically capable, and eager to learn the trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with framing, setting posts, and structural assembly
- Load, unload, and organize materials and tools
- Measure, cut, and prepare lumber as directed
- Install siding, roofing, trim, doors, and windows
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Mix concrete and assist with footings and foundations
- Keep job sites clean and organized
- Follow safety procedures and company standards
- Perform general labor duties as needed
Qualifications
- Construction or carpentry experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor outdoors
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Basic tool knowledge
- Dependable and punctual
- Team-oriented attitude
- Valid driver’s license preferred
