Job Overview
We are seeking a Cook to join our team. Weekend availability is required for this position and a couple days during the week. Shifts are from 6am-2pm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing dishes in a neighborhood cafe setting.
Duties
– Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
– Ensure food quality and presentation meet the restaurant’s requirements
– Follow proper food handling procedures and food safety guidelines
– Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu planning and special dishes
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
– Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, stoves, ovens, and grills
Qualifications
– We will train but being comfortable in a kitchen environment is a plus
– Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology a plus but not necessary
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
