About Corporate Access

The Corporate Access team provides consultative services for companies and investors, bringing both groups together to facilitate valuable interactions. Corporate Access partners with a company’s Investor Relations department to assist with strategy for their IR program, as well as partnering with investors to understand their interest to meet with company management. Further, the team manages several internal stakeholders, including research analysts, sales, and banking.

Overall purpose of role

  • Support corporate access originator in planning and executing a diverse range of events (roadshows, fieldtrips, conferences) to the highest standard through excellent organisational skills and creativity while ensuring activity is aligned with business objectives
  • This role will partner with internal stakeholders to build out roadshow schedules and facilitate interaction with investors and research and corporate managements
  • This role requires a critical focus on logistics and customer service, which includes frequent schedule updates and coordination of travel arrangement

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and execute all logistical aspects of events (booking cars, ordering food, manage itineraries)
  • Budget resolution, invoice processing & post-event evaluation & analysis
  • Potential opportunity to contribute to conference planning which would include logistics, meeting allocations, speaker management, and more
  • On-site attendance for events will be occasionally required
  • Manage ad-hoc projects on behalf of the team

Decision-making and Problem Solving

A successful candidate for this role will be able to balance speed of delivery with the requirement of accuracy. They will need to be able to respond quickly to client and internal inquiries.

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Person Specification

  • Prior experience supporting events, conferences, and client-facing logistics preferred
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities and last-minute requests
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and confidence with interacting professionally with senior executives, investors, and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to support on-site event execution which may require occasional travel

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of work experience, preferably in finance
  • Microsoft suite of products

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of corporate access business
