Providence Farmstead Dairy Assistant
Providence Farmstead is a family farming operation with:
300 Cow, 4 Delaval 300 VMS robots Freestall Barn in Bowersville GA
We are looking for employees to join our growing operation. We are currently looking for Dairy assistants that will operate at the Bowersville Dairy. The job will include:
Feeding and delivery of feed to Dairy herd, Replacements and Calves.
Calm handling of all livestock.
Service and maintenance of VMS robotic Milkers.
Keeping facilities neat and tidy.
Operation of manure management systems.
Fenceline maintenance
Assist in herd management including record keeping, health checks and necessary treatments directed by Dairy Manager
Assist with various Dairy Projects
Assist with Farming operations as needed
Requirements.
Desire to Learn
Follow SOPS and protocols for working with animals, servicing equipment and handling equipment.
Take pride in learning and the way things look.
Enjoying being part of a team and watching things grow (yourself, the herd, and the crops)
Enjoy being outside and having every day be a NEW day.
Work schedule to be 6 days a week with an average of 1 weekend off every month
Start times will be set with workday to be 8-10 hours a day
Package to include:
Hourly rates start at 16.50 Hour
Paid Vacation 6 days after 1 year- 12 days after 2 years
Health insurance for employee with option for employee to pay for additional family coverage
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
