Data Analyst, Mortgage Operations Jobs in United States at Alpha7X

Title: Data Analyst, Mortgage Operations

Company: Alpha7X

Location: United States

About Alpha7X

Alpha7X builds deterministic work execution infrastructure for mortgage operations. Our platform

executes operational work across the loan lifecycle with verifiable, auditable outcomes, and every

function we run is grounded in structured data. We are a data-driven company from the platform up, and

the people who thrive here think in data sets, structures, and evidence, not just tasks.

The Role

We are hiring a Data Analyst to join our operations team, working on evidence curation across mortgage

workflows. Evidence curation is the discipline of assembling, validating, and structuring the documentary

and data evidence that supports every decision our platform executes. It sits at the intersection of

mortgage operations knowledge and hands-on data work.

This is an analytics role first and a domain role second. Your day-to-day is querying data, building MIS

reporting, and working directly inside the data structures that power the platform. A background in

mortgage, or in banking and lending more broadly, is what lets you do that work with judgment:

understanding what a loan file should contain, what good evidence looks like, and where the gaps are. If

you bring the analytics and the aptitude, we can teach the domain.

Who does well here: self-starters who can take a queue of work and a defined standard, then drive

through volume independently. People with an operational processor's discipline and an analyst's toolkit

are the ideal combination.

What You Will Do

  • Curate, validate, and structure evidence across active mortgage workflows, ensuring completeness and accuracy against defined standards
  • Build and maintain MIS reporting for operational performance, throughput, and quality
  • Write and run queries against production data sets to answer operational questions, investigate exceptions, and support decision-making
  • Work hands-on in our document database environment (MongoDB, accessed via Studio 3T), navigating and manipulating structured and semi-structured data
  • Contribute to how data is modeled and organized as the platform scales, flagging structural improvements rather than just working around problems
  • Identify gaps in processes and data quality, propose fixes, and see them through

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable data analytics experience: MIS reporting, data querying, and working with structured data sets is the core of this role
  • Financial services domain exposure is preferred but not essential: mortgage experience (servicing, default, lending, or closing) is the ideal, with broader banking or lending experience a strong alternative
  • Comfort with data structures and databases; you are at home inside a data set, not just a spreadsheet
  • A self-starter temperament: you take ownership of a workload and run it without needing daily direction
  • The ability to process volume: methodical, accurate, and fast through repeatable work

Strong Advantages

  • Direct experience with MongoDB and Studio 3T, or another NoSQL environment
  • SQL and BI tooling (Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Exposure to investor reporting, loss mitigation, foreclosure, claims processing, or GSE compliance
  • Experience building reports and models that changed how an operations team worked

Compensation and Process

Base salary of $90,000. The process is straightforward: an introductory conversation, a practical exercise

reflecting the real work, and a final interview with the team you will join.
