Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering products efficiently and safely to retail stores and restaurants, ensuring timely service and maintaining excellent customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, organizational abilities, and a customer-focused attitude to support our company’s growth and reputation.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial delivery vans, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes while maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
- Load, unload, and secure merchandise with care, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Build rapport with clients through professional communication, addressing their needs and inquiries effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving or retail store delivery roles.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations, route planning, and safe lifting practices.
- Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory counts.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and client relationship building strategies.
