Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment plans
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate recordkeeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for seamless documentation review and updates
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation
- Hands-on experience with dental assisting, chairside assisting, and infection control procedures
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health and understanding of pediatric dentistry practices is preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to perform patient care with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Prior experience in a dental clinic or dental office environment that emphasizes infection control standards

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
