Director of Information Technology
Foxdale Village, a life plan community guided by Quaker values, located in State College, PA, is seeking a director of information technology. The successful candidate will report to the chief financial officer and will serve as a contributing member of the management team. The candidate will be able to work within an environment that takes a team-based approach to decision making.
Responsibilities Include
- Independent oversight of the day-to-day network, IT, and telecommunications operations
- Ensures that the going cyber security processes are up to date with the current regulatory and risk management environment
- Works with the leadership team to assure that current hardware and software applications meet the needs of each department
- Assumes responsibility for developing, updating, and implementing the information system strategic plan
- Plans for future expansion and growth to create a network environment that is right for the organization
- Trains employees on the basic use of computer applications
- Provides oversight of all IT staff
- Reviews and suggests outside partnerships with other IT support companies to supplement the needs of a 24-hour operation
- Completes periodic technology risk assessments and uses the data to implement programs that mitigate IT liability
- Works with the compliance and risk official to create programs that meet regulatory requirements for HIPAA, disaster recovery, and fraud prevention
- Serves as the HIPAA security officer for the organization
- Oversees audio-visual and communication systems support for residents and staff
- Assumes other responsibilities as designated by the CFO

Requirements
Qualifications:
Education/ Training: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field. A graduate level degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of five years in an IT environment including installation and maintenance of a network as well as user support, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Characteristics: Applicants should be highly committed to serving older adults and have demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
