About the Role
This is not a traditional clinical role.
As Director of Wellness / In-House Therapist, you will provide direct therapeutic support, but more importantly, you will help define what it means to embed healing into every part of our work.
This is a founding team role, meaning you will help shape not just services-but the culture, standards, and long-term vision of care at Human First Network.
This role is about presence, trust, and creating an environment where care is accessible, consistent, and real.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct therapeutic support to individuals served by Human First Network
Build trusting, consistent relationships with clients navigating complex life circumstances
Shape and implement a wellness-centered approach across all programs
Integrate trauma-informed and healing-centered practices into daily operations
Support staff in applying wellness principles in their work
Collaborate with the Director of Programs to ensure coordinated, holistic care
Develop wellness tools, resources, and frameworks
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and ethical standards
Qualifications
Masters degree in a clinical field:
Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology
Licensed or license-eligible in New York:
LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
Strong experience with trauma-informed care and high-needs populations
Ability to build trust quickly and hold space for complex experiences
Comfortable in a startup-style, evolving environment

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
