Duties
- Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning sinks, dish racks, countertops, and floors.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients and supporting catering or banquet setups when needed.
- Support the food service team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Help with light cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas to uphold sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for food service operations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices.
- Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, catering events or banquet settings.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation including commercial dishwashers.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and fellow team members.
- Prior experience in culinary or hospitality roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Good physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy items safely, and performing repetitive tasks with energy.
