Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dishwasher for our busy St Pete Beach restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cookware are washed and sanitized promptly as well as maintaining public areas and bathrooms to a clean and sanitary level. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our kitchen staff and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in our establishment.
Responsibilities:
· Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
· Sort, stack, and store clean dishes in the appropriate storage areas.
· Assist kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, including food preparation and basic kitchen maintenance.
· Empty trash bins regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste.
· Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing, kitchen areas, and bathrooms, including floors, countertops, and equipment.
· Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and following sanitation protocols.
· Report any equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
· Support a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
· Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
