Overview
We are a small tree service looking for a driver, who can operate equipment and perform ground operations. Most of the operations are mechanized with only a few manual task.
Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles including dump trucks, skid steers, excavator.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques as necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the vehicle.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) class A
- Familiarity with various types of trucks including dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Excellent navigation skills with a good understanding of local roadways.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and ensuring cargo safety.
- Pay based on qualifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
