Per Diem Driver – Vehicle Transport
We are seeking reliable and experienced drivers to transport vehicles on an as-needed, per diem basis Mondays-Fridays daytime only. In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving trucks, vans, and other vehicles between dealerships and facilities across Maine and New Hampshire. You will not need a vehicle, you will either drive a company vehicle or a vehicle back to a dealership.
Responsibilities:
– Driving various types of vehicles, including light duty and heavy-duty trucks and van
-Trips would only be Monday-Friday, daytime hours. No nights, weekends, or overnights.
– Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles
– Maintain professionalism while interacting with the public on behalf of Messer
Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
– No CDL required!
– Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Maine and New Hampshire roads
– Flexibility to work on an on-call, per diem basis with varying hours
– Professional appearance and demeanor
– Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
– Physical ability to enter/exit vehicles frequently
This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid per vehicle transported. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, reliable, and have a strong focus on safety. Previous experience transporting vehicles for dealerships or auto auctions is preferred but not required.
