A high-growth payments/fintech business is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Payments Sales Manager to join its Commercial Payments team and drive rapid growth across multiple industries for a next-generation online payments solution.
This is a great opportunity for a driven, focused salesperson with a proven track record selling payment solutions into mid-market and enterprise merchants in a competitive, fast-paced environment. The role offers a strong commission plan (uncapped), a hybrid working model, and a competitive benefits package.
The role
The Payments Sales Manager will play a key role in expanding the company’s payments footprint. They will be responsible for selling a full payments technology stack to mid-market and large enterprise organisations.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Technology and the wider business to position the company’s capabilities, products, and services effectively with prospects. The ideal person will be independent, commercially sharp, and thrives in an entrepreneurial, high-performing environment.
How you’ll make an impact
- Act as a consultative payments strategist, advising businesses on the optimal payments setup using a range of solutions
- Identify, qualify and close high-potential prospects and partners to build a healthy pipeline across multiple verticals
- Build prospect engagement strategies and partner with Marketing, Business Development, Product and other teams to generate qualified pipeline (cold + warm channels)
- Pitch next-generation payment solutions and value-added services
- Produce high-quality presentations and proposals for C-suite stakeholders and lead commercial negotiations
- Become an expert in the payments technology stack, confidently handling detailed product and capability questions
- Own the full sales process end-to-end, drive urgency, create mutual action plans, and act as the main point of contact throughout
- Maintain a well-organised portfolio and nurture key accounts through a deep understanding of their industry and needs
- Collaborate with peers to share best practice and market insights
- Provide feedback on local trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and product/marketing insights
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience in B2B sales
- Track record of high performance and self-sourcing leads
- Highly motivated, commercially minded, and strong communicator
- Existing network of prospects/partners within the payments landscape (preferred)
- Tech-savvy with a genuine interest in fintech/payments
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to negotiate complex structures
Nice to have
- Experience selling within the payments industry (PSP/acquiring/gateway/orchestration)
