Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as an Electrician Helper and play a vital role in supporting skilled electricians on a variety of electrical projects. In this energetic position, you will assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and construction sites. Your hands-on involvement will help ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in every task. Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians by preparing work areas and handling necessary tools and materials for electrical installations and repairs. Support the installation of wiring, conduits, panels, and fixtures following blueprints, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, strip, bend, and assemble electrical components accurately. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in precise installation work. Help with the setup and operation of low voltage and high voltage systems on construction sites. Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and identify issues efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and productivity on-site. Assist with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure when necessary. Follow all safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations. Support the team in completing project documentation, reports, and logs related to electrical work progress.
Qualifications
Previous experience working as an electrician helper or in a related construction or industrial setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is essential. Experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems within industrial or commercial environments is a strong advantage. Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical installations ensures compliance with safety regulations. Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work safely in dynamic environments is required. Basic understanding of framing carpentry related to electrical infrastructure is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions are crucial for success in this role.
