Fabrication Shop Foreman / Superintendent

Looking for an experienced pressure vessel fabrication shop fitter foreman capable of running a crew of 6-10 fitters, and 10-15 helpers.

10 years’ experience in direct supervision in fabrication of ASME pressure vessels and process equipment for the Petrochemical industry.
Knowledge of carbon steel and nick alloy fabrication.
Experience managing a crew
This is a permanent position in Houston Texas. No travelling.
Previous fitting experience.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings.

This position requires:

Coordinating with lead men to ensure proper man-loading on each project.
Reviewing schedules provided by project management to ensure deadlines are met.
Communicating material / engineering issues to quality control and project management.
Interviewing, testing, hiring fitters and helpers.
Knowledge and experience in reading/interpreting drawings.
Knowledge and experience in fabricating equipment from carbon steel and alloy materials (300/400 series stainless steel, Inconel, monel, Hastelloy, chrome-moly, etc.)
Shop floor organizational skills.
Ability to fabricate large equipment up to 20’ in diameter, 500,000 lbs., 300’ long.
Ability to securely handle and load large equipment in a safe manner.
Schedule and coordinate with nightshift to ensure proper tasks are accomplished.
Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Bi-lingual (Spanish/English).
Conduct shop floor employee disciplinary action as required.

Typical Hours:

6:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday – Friday
6:00 am – 3:00 pm Saturday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
