Role Overview
Job Title: Freeze Force Service Technician
Work Location: Greendale, Indiana (when not traveling)
Travel: Up to 75%
This isn’t a desk job. This is boots-on-the-ground, hard work maintaining the ice manufacturing, conveying, and packaging equipment that keeps the world’s ice supply running.
What You’ll Do
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform hands-on repairs and preventive maintenance. Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues and work on everything from bagging machines to refrigeration equipment.
- Client Support & Training: Act as an on-site expert, training client teams on proper operation and maintenance.
- Parts Collaboration: Work with sales to identify client needs proactively.
- Industry Representation: Showcase equipment at trade shows and industry conventions.
- Project Support: Provide technical input for projects and assist at our Greendale rebuild center.

Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Mechanically inclined; proficient with power/hand tools. Plumbing, electrical (controls), and refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
- Experience: Previous forklift experience required.
- Travel Readiness: Valid unrestricted state driver’s license, ability to rent automobiles, and ability to secure a passport.
- Independence: Ability to work effectively in various conditions and independently.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Requires the ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.
- Ability to communicate information effectively in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to work with toxic chemicals such as ammonia and refrigerants.
- Capability to work in extreme temperatures based on seasonal weather conditions.
- Ability to perform repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
