Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their needs to recommend suitable firearms and accessories
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain firearm features, safety procedures, and proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate stock levels through merchandising, stocking, and inventory management
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS systems while ensuring proper cash handling and documentation
- Uphold all safety protocols related to firearm sales, including verifying licenses and background checks
- Assist in upselling complementary products such as ammunition, cleaning supplies, or accessories to enhance customer experience
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or outdoor sporting goods environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate customers on firearm safety and features
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demos is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to build lasting relationships with clients
