Duties
- Prepare and cook fried menu items efficiently, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and thoroughly
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as portioning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Support the team in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Keep workstations organized, stocked with necessary supplies, and free of hazards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to uphold high standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety in all food handling activities
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Experience with food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are preferred
- Background in fine dining or catering environments is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving others
