Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble deli food items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with product selections, answering questions, and upselling items to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures consistently.
- Manage cash handling duties including cashiering, balancing registers, and processing payments accurately.
- Support food preparation tasks such as slicing meats, cheese, and other deli products while adhering to food safety management practices.
- Assist with general store duties including stocking shelves, bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and ensuring the deli section remains organized and inviting.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in food preparation, handling, sanitation, and safety management are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations including cash handling and register balancing.
