Job Overview- Gatehouse Security Guard, Northport MI
Statewide Security is seeking a vigilant and dependable SEASONAL Gatehouse Attendant to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. Location for service is located in Northport, MI. Your proactive approach will help prevent theft, maintain order, and respond effectively to incidents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic security team dedicated to creating a safe environment for all. This is a 1099 position subcontract. Work hours are 12 a.m. MIDNIGHT thru 8 a.m. 7 days a week and will end the weekend of Labor Day.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist homeowners, guests, vendors, delivery drivers, and emergency responders while monitoring and controlling property access.
- Coordinate and document deliveries; receive and safeguard packages when appropriate and notify homeowners accordingly.
- Serve as the first point of contact for emergencies, unusual activity, or property concerns and communicate promptly with management or emergency services as needed.
- Exercise independent judgment in access control, safety matters, and situational decision making.
- Maintain accurate visitor and vendor logs, delivery records, and incident reports.
- Provide concierge-level assistance by answering questions, offering directions, and facilitating communication within the community.
- Communicate and enforce company policies regarding visitors and vendors.
- Restrict access to non-approved visitors.
- Observe and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gatehouse environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Highschool Diploma or basic GED
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, security, or property management
- Valid driver’s license– MUST BE INSURABLE
- Basic computer proficiency (email, electronic logs, internet use).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a calm, professional presence.
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability and sound judgment, particularly in time-sensitive situations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining property standards.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
