In this hands-on role, you’ll work both indoors and outdoors, operating and monitoring machines that stack plywood and wood materials as they move from treatment centers to stacking equipment. Every day brings something new as you play a key part in keeping production flowing.

Details:
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00/hr
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Essential Functions/Duties:
- Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant activities.
- Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, as assigned. Areas could include maintenance, stacking, kilns, shipping, receiving, treating, yard maintenance.
- Understand the job assigned and ask questions if uncertain.
- Perform cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris, cleaning work areas and performing touch-up work as needed.
- Perform Fire Watch duties as needed to support the maintenance team.
- May operate a vehicle, forklift, or tractor.
- Attend all training sessions and safety meetings
- Computer duties as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance is encouraged.
- Ability to take direction and learn in a hands-on environment.
- Ability to safely operate mobile equipment.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.
- Ability to demonstrate behaviors conforming to Hoover’s set of values and accepted standards.
- Ability to be self-motivated to perform a task using his or her own drive or initiative
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with an ability to learn.
