Summary of Position: Milton Academy is seeking a full-time Grade 5 teacher in the Lower School starting August 2026. This role includes leading a class of 16 students while working in close partnership with a grade-level colleague to support a cohort of 32 children. The Grade 5 teacher is responsible for core instruction in math and social studies, while the partner teacher is responsible for core instruction in language arts. Students attend specialist-led classes in Music and Performing Arts, Art and Design, Physical Education, Computer Science and Technology, Spanish, and Environmental Science.Were looking for an educator who is: Experienced with at least 3 years of elementary teaching and curriculum developmentSkilled with TERC Investigations or similar math programs that promote conceptual thinkingCurious, reflective, and collaborative eager to work as part of a team to support each childs growthExcited to work with this age group in child developmentThis is a wonderful opportunity to join a school that values creativity, diversity, academic excellence, and a student-centered approach to learning.Base Salary: For the 202627 academic year, faculty salaries range from $50,000 to $120,000 annually.
Placement within this range is determined by years of experience, in alignment with Milton Academys faculty salary scale, which is designed to ensure equitable pay progression.Housing Stipend: Faculty members who reside off-campus will also receive an annual stipend of $13,000 (in 2026-27) in addition to the base salary listed above.
